Rudhramadevi is a Telugu, Tamil historical film, based on the life of Rudrama Devi one of the prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan Plateau, and one of the few ruling queens in Indian history. The film is being written and directed by Gunasekhar in 3D. The film is simultaneously being made in Telugu and Tamil.It is being dubbed in Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam, this movie will be the first movie to be dubbed into Kannada after Competition Commission of India’s ruling to lift the ban on dubbing of other language films into Kannada and features an ensemble cast of Anushka Shetty, Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Vikramjeet Virk, Prakash Raj, Krishnam Raju, Nithya Menen, Baba Sehgal and Catherine Tresa, among others. Anushka Shetty will play the role of Rudrama Devi.The film’s soundtrack and background score were composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
