The sentence against rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was declared by a special CBI court today. He has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. Special CBI Judge Jagdeep Singh on Monday handed out 20 years to Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
Dera chief Ram Rahim was announced guilty of rape by the special CBI court in Panchkula on Friday. At least 38 people were killed and more than 200 injured in the violence in Haryana.
